PicoBit’s casing is made of high-end aluminum.
Due to the nature of the material, users may feel that the device is very hot to the touch after operating PicoBit for a period of time.
Although the device may feel too hot to touch, it is operating within the acceptable temperature range if the device has not shut down automatically.
Please be advised that it is safe to continue using PicoBit even when the device is relatively hot to touch. PicoBit is programmed to automatically shut down when the internal temperature exceeds 55° C.
PicoBit has been thoroughly tested before its launch. Multiple tests have verified that the increased temperature will not cause any malfunctions.
To help keep the device cool, we recommend users to utilize PicoBit with a tripod. The internal fan will better facilitate air flow through the vent on the back of the device, aiding to cool it off.
Additionally, we are preparing an “Accessory Kit” for PicoBit, which will include a protective case, monopod stand, and portable screen. A protective case will enable users to handle the device without directly contacting the aluminum casing.
As a reminder, please be careful and handle with care when using PicoBit.
